What can WE do that has the most impact?

Action Plan #1: Educate the public about significant threats to our democracy, essential government programs, and the impact on our communities and families.

    • Please share your personal stories, worries, and concerns
      • A videographer can also record your story later if you’d like
  • Public Communication Plan?
    • Key Targets and Messages? Tools?
    • Naturally occurring public events?  (Calendar Timeline Adds?)
  • Our skills and assets?

Action Plan #2: Defend our Democracy: Urge our local, state, and national elected officials to challenge threats to our democracy, community, and families.

  • What can we do that has the most impact?
  • Key targets?  (Local, State, and National)
    • Their blind spots & pain points?
  • Key (bipartisan) messages and methods?
  • Public mobilization plan?  Events?

5 practical tactics for talking about issues:

1. Blame Republicans for everything. They’re in charge.
2. Combine issues under the heading of “Personal Security.”
3. The Constitution trumps “socialism.” To “promote the general welfare” trumps greed.
4. Judges are law enforcement, and we support law enforcement.
5. Ask Republican friends and neighbors if they’re still Republicans. Pick an issue and talk about it.
